Job Description:
The part-time Student Printer Fleet Technician works under the direction of the Manager, Print Services to maintain maximum uptime of the public facing printers and multi-function devices accessed by students at the Algonquin College Ottawa campus.
In the Student Printer Fleet Technician role, the incumbent must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, be able to communicate clearly, problem-solve effectively, work independently and within a team and be able to work up to 24 hours per week.
The Student Printer Fleet Technician is a key role in the support of student printing on campus and the incumbent is expected to work pro-actively to prevent printer failures from occurring and react quickly to resolve printer issues if and when they do occur.
Required Qualifications:
- Up to high school or equivalent;
- Currently enrolled in an Algonquin College program;
- Less than one (1) year of experience in customer service and/or technical support role preferably within a technical or ITS environment;
- Less than one (1) year of experience in volunteering work in a postsecondary environment where supporting student activity was the main focus of the role is an asset.
