Job Summary
We are seeking a Power Platform Business Analyst whose main role is to lead the Power Platform COE (Center of Excellence), engage customers across the organization, setup training sessions, and ensure the team is meeting customer expectations.
Your role will also include carrying out and documenting the analysis of customer needs and business processes, participating in the implementation of integration strategies, and supporting the customer in the acceptance and deployment phase, according to quality standards and best practices.
You will grow in a multidisciplinary team and link the business needs of the client with the solution to be implemented on an operational level.
Job Description:
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as project manager on small to medium sized projects and initiatives.
- Test, assure quality, monitor and maintain to ensure interoperability, reliability, security, optimum performance levels, capacity assessment, configuration management, software and hardware support, systems support, network and data security, complex problem resolution, in service support training
- Advise on functional requirements, such as standards, user and security, assist in conducting cost/benefit analysis, contribute to the conceptual and physical design of the projects, and lead implementation
- Consult other IM subdisciplines and clients. Build crossfunctional relationships to gain support
- Participate and/or coordinate the design and implementation of changes and customer service enhancements, including: feasibility studies, cost/benefit, business reengineering, development, intersubsystem and intrasubsystem interface, modeling, design consistency, testing, configuration, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of various information systems/productivity tools/customer service enhancements/Company nodespecific policies, standards, guidelines, and recommended practices
- Assist in analyses, planning, specifications, definitions, systems interface and other requirements for new initiatives to ensure current and future interoperability with NAV CANADA systems.
- Assist in development of short and longterm strategies and roadmaps.
Education/Occupational Certification:
- Graduated from a recognized university/college with a degree/certification in a business discipline and/or computer sciences/information systems or an acceptable combination of education, related experience and training
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a business analyst in an enterprise environment working with business and technical stakeholders involved in new product introduction, and the lifecycle maintenance and support activities one or more products.
- 3+ years of experience in developing, supporting and enhancing business processes within Information Management or related area.
- Experience providing training to users, creating training material and coordinating training sessions.
- Experience leading business process modelling exercises, developing business requirements, analysing and documenting functional requirements and nonfunctional requirements
- Significant and recent experience developing test cases/acceptance criteria and performing all levels of testing and defect management.
- Experience with integrated project team delivery, coordinating deliverables and contributing to strategy/planning with management.
- Significant experience utilizing Microsoft Office/O365, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and/or SharePoint Online.
- Microsoft Azure experience is an asset.
- Experience working with a Center of Excellence is an asset.
- Experience with test automation tools in a practical implementation is an asset.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the AGILE process used in support of software development testing and user experience validation testing.
- Knowledge of business process modeling, use case development, persona development and requirement elicitation techniques.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, procedures and business functions in context of business system.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) environments
