Job Overview:
Cambridge LLP is looking for a legal assistant or law clerk for a downtown litigation office.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. As a Law Clerk, you will provide essential support to our lawyers and assist in various legal tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist lawyers with administrative tasks as assigned
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Law Clerk or in a similar legal support role required
- Must have a working knowledge of the _Rules of Civil Procedure_ and the disparate practices of the GTHA courts.
- Strong knowledge of legal drafting and research techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
