Are you a highly organized and customer-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry? We are currently seeking a Parts Consultant to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our GM store in Middleton, NS.


The Opportunity:

As a Parts Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers seeking automotive parts and accessories.

Your exceptional customer service skills, in-depth product knowledge, and ability to handle inquiries efficiently will ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall growth of our business.

This position requires someone with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in helping customers find the right parts for their vehicles.


Responsibilities:


  • Listen to customers' needs and assist them in identifying the correct automotive parts and accessories for their specific requirements.
  • Assist the team in providing quotes and parts for the technicians.
  • Utilize our parts catalogue and computer system to accurately look up and locate parts in our inventory.
  • Provide accurate price quotes and estimated delivery times for parts and special orders.
  • Process parts orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with empathy and a commitment to resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain an organized and clean parts department, ensuring all parts are appropriately labelled and stored.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the service department and sales team, to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Stay updated on new products, promotions, and industry trends to provide valuable insights to customers.
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts and ensure parts stock is kept at appropriate levels.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in automotive technology or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in an automotive parts or dealership environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, their functions, and compatibility with different makes and models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with parts catalogue systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
