for the following position:
IT Support Technician

Overview:

As an IT Support Technician you will be Responsible for processing and resolving online, voice, network and hardware-related problems for internal and/or external customers

What you'll do:

***- Work in person on site(s) 5 days per week.

Set up, document, test and install new equipment and software, upgrade, repair and coordinate maintenance requirements. Provide training to colleagues, managers and staff as required.
Provide and administer security controls to ensure electronic data integrity, and data backup activities. Troubleshoot printer issues, login problems.
Provide level two technical support, coverage and customer relations for external and internal users, in areas of PC hardware and software.
Perform routine hardware maintenance and corporate standard software installations for Sonova staff.
Coordinate support and contact with outside service providers and software vendors.
Coordinate scheduling of loaned IT equipment with users. Test returned equipment to verify working conditions.
Communicate effectively with colleagues in multiple sites.

What you bring to the team:

Postsecondary education in Computer Technology. In the absence of an academic degree, must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a relevant field.
Excellent problem solving, technical writing, presentation and communication skills.
Possesses reliable transportation to travel to Mississauga and Kitchener offices.
