IT Support Technician
Overview:
As an IT Support Technician you will be Responsible for processing and resolving online, voice, network and hardware-related problems for internal and/or external customers
What you'll do:
***- Work in person on site(s) 5 days per week.
- Set up, document, test and install new equipment and software, upgrade, repair and coordinate maintenance requirements. Provide training to colleagues, managers and staff as required.
- Provide and administer security controls to ensure electronic data integrity, and data backup activities. Troubleshoot printer issues, login problems.
- Provide level two technical support, coverage and customer relations for external and internal users, in areas of PC hardware and software.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance and corporate standard software installations for Sonova staff.
- Coordinate support and contact with outside service providers and software vendors.
- Coordinate scheduling of loaned IT equipment with users. Test returned equipment to verify working conditions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues in multiple sites.
What you bring to the team:
- Postsecondary education in Computer Technology. In the absence of an academic degree, must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a relevant field.
- Excellent problem solving, technical writing, presentation and communication skills.
- Possesses reliable transportation to travel to Mississauga and Kitchener offices.
