EveryMind Mental Health Services (formerly Peel Children's Centre/Nexus Youth Services) is looking for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic mental health professional to provide direct clinical service and case management to youth and young adults ages 12 through 25.


EveryMind is an accredited children and youth mental health centre that provides a continuum of high-quality mental health services to enrich the lives of children, youth and their families who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Clinical Services, working within a trauma-informed/strength-based framework, the Youth and Family Clinician will provide individual, youth-centered treatment services to an ongoing caseload virtually via video or telephone counselling or in-person at one of our office locations.

Limited family/group work may also be involved. In addition, you will provide weekly single-session consultation appointments to children, youth and families.

Salary - 5-step range of $64,357 - $75,289 over 5 years
Please note that hiring salaries are commensurate with experience and generally start at the beginning of the range.

Responsibilities:


The incumbent will:

  • Provide skilled assessment, formulation, and treatment services to youth by employing a variety of systemic, trauma informed and evidencebased/evidencedinformed treatment approaches (including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills) to enhance youth outcomes at home, in school and in community;
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and commitment to engaging youth in all aspects of service delivery utilizing a strengthbased approach;
  • Develop, implement and regularly evaluate treatment plans according to youth's needs, goals, strengths and cultural values;
  • Facilitate the enhancement of the youth's informal and formal supports;
  • Effectively design and implement a holistic crisis plan to ensure safety within home, school, vocational and community settings;
  • Provide case management and outreach services to ensure coordination, collaboration and delivery of services that meet changing needs of clients and families;
  • Provide transition support and discharge planning to clients exiting service to ensure sustainability of treatment gains;
  • Provide virtual and telephone treatment interventions as needed;
  • Provide group services as required;
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with youth and possess working knowledge of social service, educational, and employment systems and resources within Peel;
  • Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team in team, clinical, program and agency meetings;
  • Maintain a high level of clinical competence, participate in professional/program development, clinical training opportunities and staff training, and remain current in the knowledge of and adhere to agency policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation;
  • Complete and maintain comprehensive case notes, records and data in a timely manner, as per the standards of the organization;
  • Other related responsibilities.
