_This position is responsible to provide Family Support to all locations within our West region. Position can possibly be located at any of our office locations within the Region

Responsibilities:

The Family Support Worker is responsible for providing a support function alongside other front line staff with respect to children, youth and families in care or customary care.

Family Support Workers provide a variety of services in support of case management duties assigned to a worker:

monitors court ordered Family visits for children/youth and their parents/caregivers, as assigned; provides assistance to families involved with child wellbeing services and/or child/youth in care or customary care that are supportive, educational, and empowering; undertakes a variety of social service support responsibilities that are complementary to the role of the worker.

We obtained our mandate to seek Designation and to provide child protection services in our jurisdiction from our member Chiefs and Councils.

We are an agency that delivers culturally-intelligent services to our partner First Nation communities in Ontario.

With our team of dedicated staff, we work with children, youth, and families as early as possible to help them navigate various obstacles and access services available to them.

We offer services such as Child & Youth Mental Health and Addictions, Youth Justice, Youth in Transition, Child Welfare, and Alternative Care.
