Reporting to the People Performance Manager, the PP&R Specialist will play a vital role as a member for an exceptional project team; you will work closely with the People & Performance Manager and will be responsible for supporting employees throughout their lifecycle in the project.
This position is located in Toronto, ON; time will be spent as a project-based resource supporting a large infrastructure project in Downtown Toronto.
What You Will Be Working On:
- Develop and lead processes and communications for ongoing employee performance feedback loop.
- Implement programs and activities to enhance and in support of the Rewards & Recognition Program.
- Provide guidance and support to project team leaders in the areas of talent development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Manage the nomination process, adjudication committees and selection process for Values Based Recognition Awards
- Manage program logistics for performancebased feedback in order to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and expand employee growth potential.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Communications to develop Communication Plan, and content for Rewards & Recognition Program and Special Events.
- Provide guidance, expertise, and recommendations to enhance the quality and profile of the rewards and recognition program.
- Develop plans involving budgets, communications, resources, and other various activities involved in rewards and recognition events.
- Promote a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and embraces the Charter and Values. Provides recommendations in the areas of employee engagement, communications and change management.
- Serves as direct liaison with corporate communications to support People and Performance program communications.
- Prepares reports and presentations for the management team and other stakeholders.
- Researches and prepares briefing notes and critical analysis documents for key initiatives, specifically in the area of employee engagement.
- Continually monitor and evaluate the impact of employee engagement and performance strategies and implement lessons learned.
What We Are Looking For:
- University degree in Human Resources, or related field with at least 5 years of workrelated experience in employee feedback, employee recognition. An equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices and trends in employee engagement and employee recognition, including maintaining contacts with other municipalities and comparators regarding recognition and survey practices
- Excellent project management skills in planning multi projects with interdependent timelines.
- Sound judgement; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
