Reporting to the Associate Director, Alumni Experience, the Manager, Alumni Digital Engagement, will lead the development of digital marketing and social media initiatives to engage the College's growing and global Alumni community.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, planning and implementing Conestoga's Alumni Experience digital communication and marketing strategy and social media initiatives
- Overseeing the Alumnispecific social media platforms targeting alumni (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube)
- Driving innovation and planning utilization of the latest in digital marketing and social media strategies and tools
- Remaining abreast of changes in the digital marketing environment in order to monitor and recommend new electronic tools for use
- Creating and optimizing fully integrated digital and social media campaigns based on data analysis, best practices and strong understanding of alumni needs
- Identifying benchmarks and setting campaign goals.
- Executing ongoing testing to optimize campaign performance
- Providing accurate and actionable reporting to management team to support campaign performance optimization tactics
- Utilizing a variety of SEM (Search Engine Marketing) tactics such as PPC (Pay Per Click), retargeting, landing pages, A/B testing, funnel optimization and others to drive traffic and maximize conversions
- Performing ongoing analysis of our online properties such as keyword research, SEO (search engine optimization), content, link structure, information architecture to improve website analytics and overall user experience
- Seeking, evaluating, recommending and engaging in new opportunities to drive traffic, maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and grow the digital Conestoga Alumni brand
- Contribute Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expertise in key areas throughout the College
- Supervising, training and coaching the digital alumni specialist while overseeing integration of new enhanced web, ecommunication, or marketingrelated social media platforms
Qualifications:
- Four (4) year degree in appropriate specialization such as Marketing, Management, Information Systems or related field
- Seven (7) years of demonstrated progressively responsible experience administering digital marketing strategies
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and creative marketing ideas with datadriven decisionmaking
- Experience with ownership of digital marketing demand generation performance
- Expert knowledge of online marketing tactics such as SEM, SEO, PPC, display ads, content marketing, and retargeting
- Proven experience in optimizing websites and web properties
- Expert in online analytics and reporting utilizing Google Analytics or other tools to create actionable analytics for evaluating activities and making datadriven decisions
- Working knowledge of graphic design, web interface design, multimedia, and website development
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
- Strong budget planning and management, project management and presentation skills
- Exceptional analytical skills including proven ability to identify/diagnose problems and find solutions through data analysis
- Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment keeping a keen eye on detail and accuracy
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Experience working with HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, PHP, and XML
- Familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint and Adobe Creative Suite competency
