Equinox is looking for an experienced and talented Proposal Manager to join our Calgary based Business Development team.


The role will be accountable for development and management of proposals, presentations, executing marketing strategies, and grow new initiatives as part of a fast-paced team.

This senior role will lead and manage the proposal team and be a key part of the Business Development division.

Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a private Canadian company located in Calgary, Alberta. We provide high quality Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services to our clients in Canada and worldwide.


Equinox was incorporated in 1997, and has operating centers in Calgary (Canada), Brisbane (Australia), Pittsburgh and Houston (United States) and Pune (India).

Equinox executes facility and pipeline projects in new energy and renewables, natural gas, conventional oil and heavy oil markets.


Key Responsibilities - Proposal Management

  • EPCM experience as a Proposal Manager in the Business Development Dept.
  • Lead and develop client proposals and presentations as a key component to Equinox Business Development
  • Develop high quality, hardhitting, customized response material to meet client expectations
  • Manage and deliver all proposals including Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expressions of Interest (EOI), Request for Quotations (RFQs) etc. with existing and new clients
  • Participate in proposal development, track responsibilities and timelines to include all technical and commercial components with strategy to succeed
  • Oversee development and maintenance of proposal and presentation material including resumes, biographies, technical experience packages, project profiles, etc
  • Ongoing development of Sharepoint proposal content database
  • Interaction with Commercial / Operations team to deliver Man-Hour Estimates, Cost Estimates, Cost-TimeResources (CTR) estimates
  • Close interaction with the Business Development teams in Canada, United States and Australia to identify client needs to develop winning strategies

Education and Qualifications:


  • Organization skills are paramount
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of ten years relevant experience including Proposals Management, and / or Business Development in oil & gas and/or EPCM marketplace
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Sharepoint
  • Proficiency with Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Proven experience in prioritizing, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in fast paced environment
