The
Vendor Relations Manager based in the
Mississauga, ON, is responsible for establishing, deepening and strengthening significant relationships with suppliers and customers.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
- Organizing monthly/quarterly business reviews with prime vendor partners. In conjunction with prime vendor partners, develops and facilitates the execution of strategic sales plans.
- Provides direct input into the marketing and promotional activities surrounding products. Evaluates for overall effectiveness and provides feedback to suppliers. Work with suppliers on placement, pricing and positioning of products to optimize sales initiatives.
- Develops and maintains a wide network of market intelligence and regularly utilizes this information to enhance business relations with customers, suppliers and internal groups. Researches new supplier partners and assists in the selection process.
- Analyzes purchase and sales history from suppliers to detect methods to improve profit margins. Establishes positive relations with suppliers and negotiates pricing terms for bulk buys and new product introductions.
- Works in conjunction with National teams to develop and maintain warehouse inventory additions, ensuring a healthy inventory balance.
- Manages the product specialist team, focusing on sales, internal and external customer service.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Community College education plus a minimum of seven (7) years related experience in the industry, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in customer and supplier relations.
- Expert knowledge in related disciplines and implementation process.
- Strong planning, analytical, organizational, decision making and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Superior project and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must be selfmotivated and able to work independently.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
