About Us
Position Summary
Required to co-ordinate all site construction activities and supervise all field personnel to maintain schedule as well as administering standard construction safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of sub trades on site on a daily basis;
- Site responsibility for on time on budget construction;
- Coordinate mobilization/demobilization of resources;
- Ensure quality build on the following: building layout, interior and exterior wall layout, workmanship, grades, hardscaping, softscaping, parking lot;
- Track progress on site daily to meet work schedules and budgets;
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, quantities to Project Managers and Management on regular basis;
- Liaise with various consultants, government inspectors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers;
- Identify any scope changes;
- Coordinating with tenant general contractors, sub trades, timelines;
- May be 'on call';
- Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures;

Education and Experience
- Completion of Construction Management Diploma, Civil Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma, Engineering Degree is considered an asset.
- Diploma, Civil Engineering
- Technician/Technologist Diploma
- Engineering Degree is considered an asset.
- Couple years of experience in retail and ICI construction required;
- Journeyman/woman trade certification in a relevant trade may be an asset;
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ministry of the Environment guidelines;
- First Aid and P.R. training;
- Valid Ontario 'G' driver's
Health and Safety
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the _OHSA_, regulations, and internal policies and procedures;
- Report to his or her supervisor any missing or defective equipment or protective device which could endanger any person;
- Report to his or her manager the contravention of the _OHSA_, regulations, or company H&S policies and procedures or any observed hazard;
- Refrain from operating any equipment, machine, device or thing or otherwise working in a manner that may endanger anyone;
- Avoid engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct;
- Know, understand and implement safe work practices and procedures;
- Know, understand and employ established rules and procedures for handling materials, equipment and processes (e.g. reporting unlabelled containers, using proper lifting techniques, etc.);
- Request that worn out or defective equipment be replaced;
- Use all safety devices provided, ensuring optimum condition of devices and report any defects immediately to a supervisor;
- Use equipment and materials only in the manner intended;
- Report all injuries, incidents, hazards and unusual conditions immediately to supervisor;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures as related to your work
Working Conditions
- Typical hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; additional hours may be required;
- Moderate physical Significant exposure to environmental conditions.
