The Opportunity

  • This is a management position responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the unit/service area including day to day operations, quality care, interdisciplinary team functioning and client/family satisfaction. Provides input to program planning and responsible for implementation of program principles and standards.

Program Summary

  • The Alternate Level of Care (ALC) unit is a 45 bed unit that is a shortstay transition unit for clients that no longer require acute care resources but do require care and support while they await an appropriate living option.

Position Details:

Bi-weekly Hours: 77.50

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthrelated discipline required, preferably in Nursing with current registration with CARNA or appropriate professional licensing college.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant clinical experience required.
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage change towards the development of innovative solutions that involve internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills including the ability to coach and mentor and lead quality improvement (AIW).
  • Previous experience working in the subacute, continuing care spectrum.
