THE ROLE
The Arena Attendant monitors and maintains the ice rink. They respond to inquiries about the facility, hours, regulations and rules, providing information on services provided. The Arena Attendant ensures safety and enforces rules concerning conduct and the use of equipment. The Arena Attendant maintains good ice conditions by scraping, shoveling, brushing and hosing the ice. Administrative duties of the Arena Attendant include the maintenance of facility logs.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma
AND some years experience in a related field.

OR

An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.

AND
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications

Experience
In ice rink maintenance

In operating ice rink equipment

In providing customer service

Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / Bilingual an asset
