Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest level of security for Bell Media platforms
- Keeps documentation of installations and systems
- Participate in problem management activities identifying root cause of all service disruptions
- Partner with company and vendor engineers in their product planning, architecture, design
- Assist peers and participate in infrastructure evaluation, testing and capacity planning
- Monitor system and network elements using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting procedures ; perform diagnostics of system hardware and software components
- Participate in offhours installations or emergency interventions, oncall as required to support the service delivery of Bell Media products
- Liaise with third party vendors to ensure their services do not adversely affect the existing Bell Media production environment or for troubleshooting of complex issues
- Ensure 24x7 uptime of Bell Media computer and network based Broadcast infrastructure
Critical Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Networking or other equivalent experience
- Broadcast media experience is valuable
- Expert Knowledge working with Virtual Hypervisor technology (VMware ESX, Microsoft HyperV)
- Knowledge of scripting (VB, Powershell, Python, Json.)
- Understanding of Microsoft's' implementation of LDAP (Active directory)
- Expert knowledge Windows Server administration
- Excellent knowledge of network fundamentals, TCP/IP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of cloud server environment
- Working knowledge Linux server administration
- Working knowledge of SQL Databases and performances
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to demonstrate how they have been used
- Knowledge of enterpriselevel storage solutions including SAN, NAS and LTO based systems.
- Good verbal and written communications skills in both French and English
- Previous documentation experience a plus
- Motivated selfstarter, with a proven track record in following through multiple tasks and projects
- A sense of accountability with proven experience working in a team environment
- Ability and desire to work as a team to accelerate the transformation of systems and processes using
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
