QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Have completed a postsecondary degree and/or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of fundraising, sales and/or service experience;
  • Experience working with donors, event participants, and volunteers, or an interest in learning;
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in donor relationship building, and ability to build rapport and inspire passion for the organization's vision and mission in others;
  • Able to manage a diverse workload and respond to shifting priorities;
  • Attentive to detail, highly organized and demonstrated capacity to multitask highpriority items;
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, as well as video chat technology and familiarity with various social medial channels;
  • Experience using a database is an asset. Familiarity with Raiser's Edge is a strong asset;
  • Located within Halifax, Moncton, Charlottetown, or Eastern Avalon; and
  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle. This role requires occasional travel with vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Fundraising:


  • Lead regional fundraising efforts, including planning and executing Crohn's and Colitis Canadaled events and campaigns (including gaming) and supporting volunteerled events and campaigns.
  • Diversify and increase the engagement of supporters in your region: collaborate with the major gifts, corporate engagement, midlevel giving and direct marketing functions to create multifaceted donor journeys.
  • Plan and execute our biggest fundraising event of the year, Gutsy Walk, in your region in collaboration with other functional teams and volunteer committees.

Community Engagement:


  • Act as the contact for volunteers in the Maritimes.
  • Work collaboratively across Crohn's and Colitis Canada to execute the sharing and engagement of various initiatives, including patient programs, research, advocacy and awareness.

Other Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all activity is accurately and regularly recorded in Raiser's Edge.
  • Complete all required documentation and paperwork.
