SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, the Administration Student will provide administration support and coordinate with internal clients to work on records and digitization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with physical and electronic records and entail the use of Microsoft Office365 programs such as SharePoint and Teams.
- Support privacy related projects including the creation of training modules and working with privacy related documentation and records.
- Revise policies and create process related documentation to improve departmental efficiency.
- Respond to inquiries by the public at the counter and on the telephone.
- Prepare various correspondence and memos.
- Filing and data entry.
- Other miscellaneous clerical duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrolled in fulltime studies the semester preceding the summer and returning to fulltime studies in September.
- Enrolment in an Administration Studies Program is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Available to work commencing early May.
- Work independently and also as a member of a team.
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- Attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.
Hourly Rate:
$16.08
Expected Work Location:
City Hall - 50 Church Street, St. Catharines
Expected Hours of Work:
Currently Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
