Description:


  • Reporting to the Coordinator of Pedagogical Support and Innovation, the Pedagogical Support and Innovation Administrative Technician supports the Coordinator in the organization and tracking of professional activities, scheduling, and budgetary items. Additionally, this position supports data collection, validation, and communication of all professional work within the PSI office and relevant academic systems activities. Furthermore, this administrativepedagogical position provides direct technical support to faculty and staff related to various college teaching and learning platforms.
  • More specifically, but not limited to, the Administrative-Pedagogical Technician provides:
  • LEA/OMNIVOX support;
  • Moodle support;
  • Collegeapproved licensed software and/or platform support;
  • Office 365 and Teams support;
  • Support for OWLs and XR/VR tools;
  • Maintenance of Program Management Tracking tools:
  • Data entry for program management steps;
  • Compiling and validating program management documents.
  • Communication of any program changes to Registrar and Academic Advising;
  • CEEC and Program Management continuous cycle data tracking and validation responsibilities for reporting purposes;
  • Consults with coordinators on budgetary planning matters and details reports for annual operational and capital budgets;
  • Researches, analyzes and validates budget proposals, submissions and purchase requests;
  • Produces and coordinates various correspondence, documents, and reports;
  • Assists the coordinator with the scheduling and coordination of the work of departmental colleagues;
  • Collects and prepares data from various databases and sources for analysis;
  • Performs all necessary technical and administrative duties and record keeping;
  • Liaises with the Finance department for the monitoring of budgets;
  • Provides administrative and logistic support to the various committees associated with the office, attends team meetings and ensures the production of its minutes;
  • Participates in other relates activities of the Office.
Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the classification of this position may be assigned.

    Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in administration with an appropriate specialty, or a diploma of college studies (DEC) in office automation with an appropriate specialty, or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent.

Conditions related to the specific position:

  • At least one (1) year of pertinent experience (an asset);
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) prioritizing OMNIVOX, LEA and Moodle;
  • Experience providing user support;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (to be tested);
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills (to be tested);
  • Strong oral and written French communication skills (to be tested);
  • Data management requirements (to be tested);
  • Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office 365 is an asset;
  • Knowledge and expertise in the educational sector is an asset.
