  • Position Title: Key Account Manager (2 positions available)
  • Reports To: Customer Director
  • Location: Markham, Ontario (hybrid work model)
  • Develop, manage and achieve desired volume, profit and share goals on all Smucker Consumer products at the assigned account.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY
  • Develop & implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade spending requirements, strategies which are consistent with Smucker brand and corporate strategies, opportunities, and risks.
  • Work closely with Customer Director, peer Key Account Managers, Category Strategy, Consumer / Shopper Marketing, Trade Deduction Coordinators and internal Smucker Customers to identify, develop and execute business building plans for the account.
  • Fully utilize all post promotion analysis, revenue growth management / price modeling and POS resources to better plan and evaluate the business.
  • Achieve distribution targets for all base and innovation Smucker products, with emphasis on maximizing product volume and contribution margin within assigned customer base.
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with account personnel, particularly merchandising, operations, supply chain and finance.
  • Achieve desired accounts receivable and trade investment goals / targets through working closely with Accounts Receivable Representatives, Trade Spend personnel & Trade Finance.
  • Coordinate and communicate all relevant account program information for Retail Sales Manager and Acosta Retail Broker leads to achieve desired results through Acosta retail sales personnel (merchandising, pricing, distribution, planograms).
  • Perform Retail Audits to ensure Acosta compliance
  • Lead and look to grow portfolio in key Omni channels, including ecommerce, digital, and retailer media
  • Report on all competitive and required information on a timely basis (ie. Weekly, Qtrly Reviews).
  • Provide forecasting information to the demand planning team through ongoing shipment, inventory & POS analysis.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree, Business degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years Key Account Management experience within grocery or mass retail channels
  • Proven Leadership Skills and proven ability to execute strategic initiatives
  • Excellent negotiating, assessment, and analytical abilities.
  • Practical experience with category management. Adept with Nielsen Market Track, Customer Loyalty and Customer POS Data.
  • Team and results oriented with effective written & communication skills.
  • Flexible, extended hours and workdays required basis meetings and demands of the business
  • Valid Class G driver's licence
