The Rehabilitation Aide is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents through the strong leadership and motivation of Sienna team members.

As a Rehabilitation Aide your typical day will impact the following ways:
Following rehabilitation and mobilization program of residents as directed by the treating physiotherapist and incorporate rehabilitation routines into recreation programs as directed by Director of Resident Programming.
Teaching and demonstrating methods of proper rehabilitation and exercise to residents, families and team members.
Reporting and recording any concerns or changes in the resident's functional and cognitive behaviour to the direct care team.
Maintaining an attending roster for statistical purposes.
Submitting assessments for annual Care Conferences or Individual Program Plan.
Maintaining an inventory of equipment, tools and supplies and report malfunctioning equipment and supply needs to the Director of Resident Programming.
Providing input into planning and evaluating rehabilitation / recreation programs by reporting observations and resident feedback to the Director of Resident Programming.
Must haves:
Grade 12 graduate
Recreation therapy or rehab aide degree/diploma is required
Minimum 2 years' experience in Long Term Care
Valid First Aide Certificate including CPR "C"
All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check
