Your Opportunity


An opportunity exists for a Master Data Management Analyst to join the Financial Services - Corporate team to assist in the management of Stantec's Organizational Hierarchies, as well as other financial planning and analysis activities.

As a member of this team, you are primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the organizational structure as it resides in the Oracle Enterprise system.

You will also assist with budgets and other financial analysis.

This position will report to the _Finance Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions_. The position will also work with a cross functional team that manages changes in the organization structure.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizational structure in Oracle based on decisions made by senior leadership with respect to Legal Entities, Business Centres, Geographic Region, Business Lines and corporate functional services teams.
  • Collaborate with requestors to obtain complete change requests that can be submitted for approval before upload and to ensure requestors are fully informed as to the risks and consequences of executing their change requests.
  • Review data inputting and processes to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness
  • Ensure governance documentation is properly utilized and retained
  • Assist with the coordination, design and implementation of changes to the organizational structure related to acquisitions.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation regarding the organizational structure changes.
  • Communication of organization ERP changes, processes, and timelines to various stakeholders
  • Assists the Valuations, Planning and analysis team with processes and financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting and other special projects.
  • Ensure key controls for financial reporting related to Stantec's SOX and internal control program are effective and operational
  • Assist in the review and implementation of various business process improvements regarding the organizational structure. Collaborates and provides other support and analytics to the Broader Valuations, Planning & Transaction Services teams as required to ensure team goals and objectives are met. Protects the organization by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Availability to be on call for one scheduled weekend a month to manage monthend processes.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience in a systems auditor role would be preferred, but not necessary
  • Be passionate about data management and governance.
  • Clientfocused in the delivery of services within a fast paced, resultsoriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate maturity and an ability to develop relationships with all levels of management.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to assess priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good listening skills, with ability to influence and resolve conflicts.
  • A detailed orientation with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and process improvements.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Microsoft Office
  • Excels in working in a cross functional environment and proactively identify issues and recommends solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in working with an ERP system. Preferred experience with Oracle and Hyperion Planning or PBCS,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 5 years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in financial planning & analysis.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Office environment where indoor activities are primarily performed in an environmentally controlled office setting or within a home office. Noise level varies but are generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time is spent using computer/laptop at a workstation and related office equipment.

Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to perform work.
