About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.

Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start & end times.


About You:

You are a project management superstar. You excel at leading projects from implementation to completion, while also building & managing internal and external client relationships. You are efficient, organized, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.

You are proactive, have 'get things done' attitude and are comfortable leading meetings and working closely with your team to meet all objectives on time.


About you/qualifications:


  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM project management methodologies
  • 35 years' experience in the payments industry, ideally in the card payments space
  • 5+ years project management and implementations experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience working in Fintech and/or Paytech environments desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Selfstarter
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Basecamp or similar
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL and asset
  • Relevant postsecondary education and/or certifications
  • Bilingual preferred

About the day-to-day:


  • Accountable for the planning & successful delivery of projects with moderate risk, complexity and crossfunctional business impact
  • Oversee people, process, and technology deliverables and is responsible for identifying and securing project resources, resource commitments, and managing project schedules and budget to ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget and within agreed to scope, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Define the project objective, scope and deliverables, with the feedback from stakeholders
  • Provide project status updates on a regular basis to stakeholders
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships and manage client requirements
  • Responsible for project governance (communication, change control, escalation, risk management)
  • Work closely with other business units sourcing new clients
  • Plan and coordinate support during project "warranty periods"
  • Responsible for all project documentation and document storage and retention
  • Support the project team in identifying opportunities for improvement and help design and implement ongoing improvement initiatives
