Position Key Responsibilities:
- Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs to maintain certification standards and meet client/project requirements.
- Data entry of health and safety statistics, including maintaining an incident database for trend identification.
- Assist in managing EHS reports, written programs, and procedures.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of new EHS programs/tools.
- Work closely with project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and Clients, to develop and implement effective safety plans, comprehensive risk assessments and essential EHS support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with Subcontractor prequalification submissions.
- Coordinate safety training and track employee training and certifications with online service providers.
- Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis with the Safety Manager and the JHSC members.
- Conduct employee orientation for new workers at our main office.
- Manage thirdparty compliance databases such as ISN, Avetta, Canqual, etc.
- Participate in Joint Work Health and Safety Committee meetings, record minutes, maintain action lists, and manage documentation for the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) at the main office.
- Administer Worker Compensation documentation, WCB worker injury reports, employer reports, and modified work program.
- Assist with the Internal COR Audit process and External Audit preparation.
- Assist with updates to the Health & Safety Manual and relevant policies, practices, and procedures.
- Join a leading role in developing our Site Docs Safety Program and Learning Management System.
Position Requirements:
- Previous safety experience in construction is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years in a health and safety program administration position.
- National Health & Safety Administrator (NHSA), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or equivalent accreditation is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with Excel experience and a general understanding of PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
