Carter's inc. Canada, a growing national retailer of children's apparel, requires a full-time
Coordinator, eComm Inbound, for our Distribution Centre located in Cambridge, Ontario.
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Inbound the role involves the following:
- Sorting cartons upon arrival by business unit
- Run slotting tool & analyze data
- Checking, ticketing, weight checks and labeling as required, all boxes and cartons before they leave the receiving area
- Systemic inbound load receiving using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner
- Ensuring deliveries are complete
- Identifying any errors in shipments and communicating them to Supervisor immediately
- Scheduling lumping service, containers and shipments as required
- Ensuring all received items are sent to the correct department
- Operating fork lift, Walkie Rider, Order Picker, Wave and hand truck equipment as required
- Material handling and stock movement, repackaging as needed, stretch wrapping and moving boxes and pallets
- Responsible for running all inbound department reports
- Putaway locating inbound cases into pallet and reserve + active locations locations for both Retail & eComm
- Knowing and achieving productivity targets
- Working safely and abiding by all Carter's safety rules and procedures
- Knowing, understanding and following all Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintaining minimum performance standards while performing required job functions
- Other tasks as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- High school diploma preferred, not required
- 6 months prior experience in shipping and receiving an asset
- Detail oriented with the ability to maintain focus in a high activity transportation setting
- Proven team member with the ability to multitask
- Available to work in a multichannel, multishift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs
- Experience working a high volume, fastpaced Supply Chain environment.
- Strong analytical skills required.
PHYSICAL AND WORK DEMANDS
- Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50lbs
- Work in a multichannel, multishift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs
- Stand and work for long periods including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as required
- Intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
- Work in varying temperatures
- Comply with Blackout Periods (no vacation requests permitted) as determined by Management.
- CSA approved Green Tag safety shoes required
