What we are looking for:


We are seeking a passionate and innovative systems thinker to support System Planning & Data Analytics within the Eastern York Region North Durham (EYRND) Ontario Health Team (OHT).

This individual will excel at the provision, interpretation and presentation of data analytics and will support the research, planning, development and evaluation of population health initiatives aimed at system integration and improvement.

Reporting to the Manager, Planning & Integration, and working directly with other members of the Decision Support and EYRND OHT, you will:

Analytical & Critical Thinking:

  • Analyze and interpret complex health system information and make recommendations for system improvement
  • Support quality improvement processes for new integrated care models
  • Develop KPIs, data visualizations, presentations and reports to enable and support planning, prioritization and decisionmaking for the OHT and its stakeholders;
  • Perform population health analysis, via OHT Dashboard, Hospital, intellihealth Ontario, and CIHI Databases to support planning and evaluation of OHT initiatives

Communication & Reporting:

  • Initiate knowledge translation activities across the province to share information, best practices and learnings (e.g. with other Ontario Health Teams)
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations and other materials for executive audiences
  • Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement via Miro and/ other engagement tools
  • Support reporting to various external stakeholders including Ontario Health, and the Ministry of Health and Longterm Care;
  • Facilitate the uptake of knowledge by local decisionmakers across OHT through the presentation of findings, education sessions, and oneonone interactions as required;

Project Management:

  • Lead, organize and facilitate projectrelated meetings, develop project reports, presentations, statistics and other related documents, as required
  • Continuously evaluate and assess each project milestone closely to identify lessons learned and best practices for implementation in future phases incorporating local and provincial data analytics and research.

We are seeking a passionate, creative and innovative individual who will excel at providing data and analytical support for the Eastern York Region North Durham (EYRND) Ontario Health Team (OHT).

What you bring to the role:

  • Masters Degree in Public Health, Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience required
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a decision support environment in healthcare including experience preparing analyses of operational, and quality measuresThorough understanding of approaches to developing strong stakeholder buyin and change management
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, practices and tools
  • Demonstrated clinical and stakeholder engagement expertise
  • Strong leadership abilities and relational intelligence
  • Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently
  • Superior interpersonal, communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships
  • Demonstrated effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare and population data/information; Skills in managing and manipulating large databases that include personal health information and conducting data linkage,
  • Secondary research skills (using academic and grey literature sources)
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methods
  • Proactive and customerfocused work approach
  • Strong understanding and analysis of equity issues from an antiracism, antioppression, resisting antiBlack racism lens.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to translate complex ideas and concepts for both executive and public audiences
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment; adaptable, flexible, positive and responsive to change
  • Ability to think creatively and self starter
  • Excellent time management and work prioritization skills
