WE ARE LOOKING FOR A COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES


The Commercial Finance Analyst will act as a business partner and support the Marketing team by promoting an integrated way of working amongst all collaborators resulting in budget accuracy, accountability, and predictability.

The role requires business support in terms of estimating budgets, accounting for actuals and reporting of results.

The job holder will need to ensure process compliance so that source system data is complete and accurate as well as adhering to policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Align with marketing business divisions on anticipated spend and approved budget. Prepare relevant templates to support budget process.
  • Consolidate budgets and prepare uploads to the system.
  • Prepare variance analysis and comment on cost drivers. Prepare accruals and reclasses for all marketing business units.
  • Consolidate actuals by cost center/WBS and GL and ensure integrity of the marketing investment tracker.
  • Prepare variance analysis of actuals vs. budgets.
  • Prepare reporting of actuals vs. budgets and share with budget owners to provide visibility and ensure proper budget divisions. Prepare reconciliation of writeoffs by reason for destruction.
  • Manage intercompany PO and accrual creations with other end markets and local budget owners.
  • Perform WBS/Cost Center creations and modifications in SAP and perform housekeeping exercise twice a year to ensure all active WBS and CC are valid and have the appropriate approvers.
  • Support marketing with ad hoc requests.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • University degree in finance or accounting.
  • Professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA) an asset.
years' relevant work experience (ex: previous experience in FP&A, Budgeting, Forecast, Planning and reporting)

  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance measurements, project evaluation.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/BI/BPC/Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simplify sophisticated situations and synthesize, communicate, and present complex information.
