As a Quality Control Technician, You Will:

  • Conduct laboratory testing in compliance with prevailing standards and procedures. Test asphalt and gravel (sieve analysis, gyratory, asphalt extractions, tensile strength testing, ignition oven, stability and flow, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
  • Examine samples provided and write/advise of any discrepancy on test and field reports
  • Assist with Field Quality Control Testing when needed (compaction using a density gauge, coring)
  • Ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated
  • Participate in activities related to the quality system
  • Other Duties as required

What You'll Bring:


  • G License and Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Technical knowledge of aggregate and asphalt quality is an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Team player with focus on safety
  • Computer and Microsoft skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Available to work outdoors and on a flexible schedule
