Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a Database Administrator Position to work in the Maximo/Tririga SRE team, responsible for all infrastructure support for production environments in the IBM Cloud.

Most of the activities are performed in DB2, however DB experience in other database offerings would be useful for this position as well.

The professional will have the opportunity to be in touch with best practices, techniques and tools, in a collaborative team, performing activities that includes database creation, refreshing database, user management.

Export and Import and other Database tools and utilities. The focus in automation is a plus. It is an amazing opportunity to be part of an innovative, agile and global team.

Your Responsibilities:

DB2 installation on Linux and Windows, Installation of DB2 tools
DB2 fixpack install
DB2 version upgrade
Day to day DB2 database Configuration/Administration/Production Support
Handle incidents and drive it to resolution
Proactive system monitoring and support
Troubleshooting of DB2 related problems
Perform Storage Space management
Database Security Administration and Management
Work with various db2 utilities like reorg, runstats, backup, restore, db2move, db2 explain, db2 advise
HADR and Tivoli System Automation for Multiplateforms (TSAMP)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Familiarity with IBM DB2, DB2 HADR, DB2 Tools install, configure, and upgrade
Demonstrable experience in Support, designing, troubleshooting
Ability to create best practices during implementation
Good knowledge of Linux, Windows OS and virtualization
Demonstrated experience in handling daytoday Operation, Alert, Incident support, migration and breakfix support
Willingness to work in shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs
Good knowledge on shell scripting
Good knowledge on Ansible

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with any of these databases
Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, and Mongo is a plus
