Our Injection Moulding operation located at 359 Wheelabrator Way in Milton, Ontario is currently seeking a Quality Technician for its "night shift".
Weekly shift starts on Sunday at 9:30 PM to Monday 8:00 AM and Monday to Thursday from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
As Quality Technician you will report directly to the Night Shift Supervisor and be an integral part of our operations, working closely and collaborating with Machine Operators and Machine Set-up personnel.
Perform regular quality inspections and tests on products to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements. Sample approval for new moulds, types of materials used (PP, PCA), product colour, and engineering changes;
Analyze data collected during inspections to identify trends or patterns that may indicate quality issues. First-off samples - visual, colour, fit function, dimensional and customer or part specific requirements verification;
Collaborate with Shift Supervisor and management team to improve quality control procedures and standards;
Conduct regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Filling out machine work tickets with production and scrap totals;
Utilize various measuring tools, such as calipers, to accurately measure product dimensions;
Assign tools such as trimmers, cutters, tape dispensers, pneumatic cutters to Machine Operators;
Document and report any non-conforming products or deviations from quality standards. Communicate with other quality control technicians customer rejections, quality issues, containment issues, product deviation approvals, and labelling or machine issues;
Assist in the investigation of customer complaints or product failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
You have previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role. You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or patterns. You have knowledge of QA/QC principles and practices.
You are proficient in data collection and analysis using computer software programs; familiar with measuring tools, such as calipers; and can accurately measure product dimensions.
You are detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision. You have excellent communication skills and can work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Note:
