About the role:


As the Production Clerk you will be a key member of the production team by assisting with a variety of administrative tasks.

You will support the flow of work and materials within the production facility by preparing and closing production orders, monitoring production schedules and providing applicable documentation.

You will have the opportunity to assist in material management by troubleshooting material issues and assisting with inventory counts.

You will summarize key decision-making data points for the production operations by preparing reports from SAP and other related systems.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the production schedule and ensures that production orders, Travelers Tags, quality, and related documentation is available to production in support of efficient production operations.
  • Work with production supervision team to ensure production order information such as labour hours and material information is collected and accurate.
  • Confirm and summarize production orders upon work completion including summarizing key production order statistics and information for review.
  • Prepare Packing, Delivery and related documents required for product and other shipments.
  • Work with the Production and Project Managers to ensuring materials are on hand at production/project start.
  • Support inventory monitoring and management through collaboration with the Material Handler on inventory and cycle counts, inventory adjustments and trouble shooting inventory management and stock outs.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials used, rates of production and other production information, using manual or computerized systems (SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project etc.).
  • Maintain records including required files, databases, archive files etc. to support sound production records management.
  • Pulling and preparing data from SAP to assist in business operations and decision making.

The Skills and Experience You Have:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in SAP considered an asset.
  • Post secondary certificate in administration, business, or logistics.
