Position Summary


We are looking for Agriculture Interns to join us in Grand Falls, New Brunswick for a 4-8 month period, starting in May 2023.


Student MUST be currently enrolled in a degree program in one of the following disciplines: Agronomy, Agribusiness, Ag Economics or Business Management.


This opportunity will help you gain an understanding of North American potato production practices and expose you to the general operations of a commercial Agriculture department.


The Team
Our team is comprised of 4 members.

Each member has special aspects of the business they are responsible for, from raw scheduling to grower relations to storages.

What You Will Be Working On
As our Intern, you will be assisting to research and analyze data on various Ag economics projects


Your tasks may include:

  • Analyze cost of production.
  • Investigate pest/disease management practices within the local area.
  • Statistical evaluation to identify best practices and data trends.
  • Assist in establishing receiving and payment processes for company potato storages
  • Track and evaluate McCain varieties and their performance in the factory.
  • Promote relations between the company and growers through periodic farm and storage visits.
  • Assist with raw product alignment and scheduling activities.
  • Other projects as assigned.

What You Will Learn


From your first day, you are a full member of the Agriculture team and can see firsthand how our potatoes are grown and processed, from farm to fork.

You will collaborate with the Agronomy, Field and Production staff as they make presentations and work directly with growers.


Some experiences include:

  • Conducting variety trials
  • Disease and insect mapping
  • Hands on experience with technologies used in today's agricultural environment

  • Analytical skills to see patterns and trends in data,
  • Communication skills to work with stakeholders inside and outside the organization,
  • Selfreliance and resourcefulness to work smarter, not just harder,
  • An ability to set realistic goals while focusing intently on a project,
  • Confidence in a fastpaced environment,
  • Computer skills in MS Office,
  • A strong work ethic.
  • A valid driver's license, be comfortable driving a fullsize pickup truck, be prepared to work outdoors
