    Required
  • Master's degree in Communications, English or a related field
  • Evidence of Scholarship in Communication and/or Media Studies
  • PhD. in Communication or related discipline and/or, five years of relevant professional experience in a field related to communication
  • Minimum of 2 years postsecondary teaching experience
  • Ability to foster a classroom environment that provides a supportive learning setting for students from diverse populations and circumstances;
  • Experience/knowledge of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in an educational practice and environment

Preferred

  • Online teaching experience using web‐based education platforms
  • Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PDIP), Certification in University Teaching, or Credential/Experience in online teaching or equivalent
  • Professional experience in marketing and community engagement
