Position Purpose:
The overall duty of this position is to manage and track incoming and outgoing inventory of tools and equipment.

This position is on a temporary full-time basis specific to the Applus Turnaround Group within the Wood Buffalo Region.

Due to the nature of this position there will be on-call and overtime requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory of tools and equipment including requesting inventory as required.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Identify materials required from work orders.
  • Oversee the crib area and ensure security at all times.
  • Ensure the proper handling, sorting and preparation of tools for use.
  • Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate replacement of damaged or broken tools, along with maintaining the appropriate inventory levels for consumables and supplies.
  • Oversee the distribution and collection of coveralls.
  • Adhering to organizational policies and procedures, including but not limited to Applus Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Agreements.
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Canadian General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Previous experience in NDT is a strong asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Working Conditions:

  • Required to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions in temperature extremes and inclement weather.
  • Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials in various working environments.
  • Commonly exposed to walking on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Occasionally required to work in noisy/loud working environments especially on project sites.
  • Required to work overtime during the week and weekend depending on project scope and work volume.
  • Working conditions will vary between project locations.
