What you will do

The Cloud Security Analyst will also play a key role in the development of the Vulnerability Management process, as well as the Security Posture Reporting process.

As Cloud Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

- conducting ongoing vulnerability assessments of Bank technology, including cloud-based solutions or systems
- proactively identifying security deficiencies, or other issues or gaps
- validating and triaging any detected issues, and coordinating remediation activities with system owners and/or other stakeholders
- providing support and guidance to various organizational stakeholders with regards to cloud security best practices, as well as on the implementation of Azure Policy recommendations
- actively engaging with the Business, Infrastructure & Operational support teams, Cloud Services teams, and other stakeholders, to facilitate communication and to foster collaboration within ITS portfolios & Cyber Division
- making adjustments or corrections to Azure policies when appropriate, ensuring the effective operation of the tool
- contributing to the ongoing development of Bank policies, as well as the future state of both governance strategy and its roadmap.
- producing operational vulnerability management reporting as well as security posture reporting on an ongoing basis
- conveying valuable insights via reporting to help solve problems and inform management to allow business decisions


This will also cover the responsibility for executing and supporting remediation governance initiatives, ensuring that the right processes and responsibilities are defined and enforced.


Specifically, you will:

  • Use automated tools to extract policy information (vulnerabilities, recommendations, etc.) from primary and secondary cloud sources.
  • Perform analysis to assess data quality and meaning
  • Develop and maintaining reporting mechanisms (i.e., databases, data and reports)
  • Review security reports and indicators to identify and correct security problems
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
  • Prepare reports for Management stating security trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Work within Cyber and ITS portfolio's SME to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Prepare executivelevel analysis to stakeholders, enabling them to make data driven decisions.

What you need to succeed

  • Good understanding of Cloud concepts and ecosystem (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Good understanding of the Vulnerability Management process
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices as they pertain to cloudbased systems (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivots, lookups & macros.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Analytics and visualization tools including Power BI, Azure ecosystem.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Defender for Cloud, Defender 365, Defender for Endpoint and/or Azure Policy.
  • Experience with Tanium or Rapid7's InsightVM.
  • Experience with ServiceNow's Vulnerability Response module.
  • Experience with various programming languages and/or scripting tools
  • Python, Java, PowerShell, etc.
  • Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.

Your education and experience

  • This position requires a minimum of 1 year of Total IT experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or other related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related education.
