Job Summary:

Your role:


  • Manage and support of the Corporate Mobile device fleet
  • Provide strategic direction and recommendations with regards to Corporate Mobility initiates
  • Responsible for creation of corporate mobility processes, procedures and support related documentation
  • Work with IT leadership on the implementation of corporate mobile policies
  • Provide Level 3 technical support for corporate mobile systems / devices at the City of Guelph including but not limited to MDM, M365, Android, iOS, rugged (Windows/Android/Other)
  • Oversee and manage cloud based mobile billing solutions
  • Responsible for processes and final oversight of the corporate mobile carrier billing and working with IT leadership in maintaining mobile vendor relationships
  • Manage the creation of procurement documents relating to mobile technology in primary area of responsibility
  • Act as a technical lead in relation to mobile technologies and aid in the creation of mobile technical standards
  • Work with business leads to enhance service delivery through mobile and digital solutions
  • Technical lead on project work for new mobile initiatives and systems
  • When required, oversee implementation of new technology and systems required to support corporate mobility
  • Perform other related duties and functions as required.

Qualifications:


  • Experience administering and maintaining Microsoft endpoint manager
  • Experience administering and maintaining the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Experience designing and working with conditional access policies
  • Experience designing and working with mobile IoT solutions
  • Experience with Cyber security and cyber security best practices relating to mobile technology
  • Experience working private APN's
  • Experience with inbuilding cellular systems
  • Experience working with and creating technical procurement documents is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience managing TCP/IP networks and network technology is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft, Android, and iOS mobile operating systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex mobile system issues
  • Ability to manage a workload where priorities are constantly changing and work in an environment with a high rate of technological change
