PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • The purpose of this position is to promote and sell the Company's full Parts and related Supplies product line

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

  • Responds to front line customer visits or telephone, fax, online requests, relative to all parts and supplies inquiries
  • Provides customers with prompt and courteous service, quoting prices or obtaining quotes as necessary; answers any concerns or questions, ranging from technical aspects to delivery dates
  • Handles cash/card transactions; prepares relative invoices; effects data input; directing documentation/records to the appropriate area
  • Requisitions noninventory parts as required; raises relative purchase orders; ensures proper followup on all promised delivery dates
  • Provides Service Technicians with parts, as necessary, ensuring the provision for appropriate records; order shop supplies, as requested by Service department
  • Maintains inventory levels in accordance with Company guidelines; spotchecks actual inventory to computer records; performs/participates in physical counts
  • Ensures parts facilities/displays are maintained in an clean orderly fashion and items clearly identified; maintains work areas in a similar clean and orderly manner
  • Reviews factory bulletins and other information to remain updated on any pertinent changes; ensures reference manuals/parts guides are updated and customers supplied with any necessary information
  • Conveys a professional presence at all times, tactfully accommodating specific needs and ongoing satisfactory customer relationships
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, specifically Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Prior general sales experience, preferably in parts distribution
  • Ambitious, goal oriented, with the interpersonal skills to accommodate sales objectives
