General Accountability:


  • Develops reports, identifies trends, and provides statistical information and analysis to the department/section. The role also creates, maintains, and ensures data integrity of all databases related to the work, and coordinates data collection, data entry, and running of database audit reports.

Key Job Functions:


  • Perform analyses of information relevant to the work assigned to identify and forecast trends, problems, and/or potential risk areas, ensuring the validity and accuracy of data.
  • Maintain integrity of data through regular auditing and monitoring and reviewing, verifying and editing data to ensure accuracy.
  • Review statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency and accuracy of raw data.
  • Receive, code, sort and input data from multiple sources on a timely basis, ensuring validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Maintain a central file system, update file list, index, assigning file codes to correspondence and ensuring correspondence is filed appropriately.
  • Participates in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program.
  • Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Helps to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.

Skills:


  • Perform relevant mathematical calculations and statistical analyses
  • Maintain documentation and historical records
  • Communicate in a variety of mediums

Education and Experience:


  • Completion of a postsecondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent

Additional Requirements:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical, analytical, and research methodologies
  • Must have working familiarity with various forecasting models
  • Ability to identify measures or indicators of database system performance and identify the actions needed to improve or correct performance
  • Detail oriented, produce quality work, meet required deadlines and work with mínimal supervision
  • Good organizational skills, effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for dealing with staff at various levels; presentation and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of data entry methods and modern office practices and procedures
  • Experience in entering and managing high quantity of data is mandatory
  • Must possess excellent mathematical skills; excellent typing, word processing and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to operate various office equipment necessary to perform duties
