About this opportunity
The successful

Field Clinical Education Liaison (Orthodontist or Dentist) will promote doctor and practice success by providing localized clinical education and support to practicing dental professionals and their teams. This is a temporary contract role for a fixed term of six (6) months starting as soon as possible. It will coordinate regional clinical support for doctors, practice administrators, and team members, develop and implement local and regional clinical education opportunities, and collaborate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to successfully implement new patient-centered products and services.


The Field Clinical Education Liaison will also collaborate with the Clinical Education team on the production of learning materials, the development of University and Continuing Professional Education curricula, and the development of peer-to-peer educators.


In this role, you will

  • Provide clinical customer support and education to orthodontists, general dentists, and their team members, including patient selection, ClinCheck support, support for the use of iTero intraoral scanners, and technical procedure best practices
  • Collaborate with the TREAT and Align User Experience teams to triage support for clinicians and practice administrators
  • Work closely with dentists, orthodontists, and their teams to collect practice metrics and identify practicespecific needs, gaps in clinical efficiency, and areas for improvement related to digital workflows and orthodontic care with Invisalign clear aligners
  • Support practice growth by connecting clinicians with practice management, marketing, and sales resources
  • Work with select clinicians and practices to test and evaluate new clinical products
  • Provide direct clinical education to help clinicians and practices implement newly released clinical products successfully
  • Lead the development of learning materials and providing internal training for members of the sales team
  • Assist with review of power point presentations, digital images, radiographs, intraoral scans, and other records for marketing and/or sales materials, as well as clinical education materials
  • Develop and disseminate standardized product training and resources
  • Work closely with local sales team members to help support doctor and practice success
  • Develop relationships with clinicians and team members and react to practice needs
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Americas Field Clinical Education Liaison team and overall education and marketing teams in Canada and the Americas to help guide strategy and recommend clinical best practices based on available data
  • Perform other duties as assigned

In this role, you'll need

  • DDS, DMD, or international equivalent degree; advanced education in dentistry and/or a dental specialty desired, with 12+ years experience
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • A strong preference to work as a member of a team
  • At least three years of clinical experience using the Invisalign system, iTero scanner, and Align's digital platform
  • The ability to provide effective instruction in a variety of settings, including individually and speaking to groups
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% locally or across a designated region in Canada
  • Sales or customer support experience a plus
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
