Requirements:


  • A minimum of 13 years direct sales experience in a major full service hotel or convention center
  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Must have outstanding organizational and customer service experience as well as strong oral and written communication
  • Must be available for travel as required for in person guest visits and industry events
  • Excellent in Windows O/S including Outlook, Word, Excel, Salesforce, Opera
  • Extremely comfortable with daily & weekly activity planning
  • Must operate with high integrity in delivering exceptional service to our guests
  • Convention market familiarity and established relationships an asset

Job Profile:


  • Soliciting new accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals
  • Handling guest inquires with the intent of generating business opportunities
  • Maintaining good working relationships with existing guests while exploring ways to increase revenue
  • Direct sales calls and coordinating key sales initiatives (i.e. Sales blitzes, tradeshows)
  • Conducting site inspections and entertaining qualified potential guests in accordance with the Hotel's policies
  • Participation in weekly sales meetings and daily business review meetings
  • Participation in industry and community organizations representing business opportunities for the Hotel
  • Guest follow up to solicit repeat business
  • Assisting the Sales Director and Revenue Manager in preparation of the annual business plan and the development of sales objectives and strategies
