rue St-Jacques O Montreal Quebec,H2Y 1L6BMO Impact Growth Fund Overview**Bank of Montreal created the $350M Impact Growth Fund (IGF) to invest in companies with technologies, products and solutions that will drive positive environmental outcomes. IGF is part of BMO's broader sustainability initiatives including carbon neutrality since 2010 and the mobilization of $330 billion for sustainable finance through 2023.
Primary Responsibility
Assist in the evaluation, execution and management of IGF investments.
Key Accountabilities
40-50% Transaction execution (analysis, due diligence, valuation, preparing investment memoranda)
20-30% Industry analysis and opportunity identification, screening of potential deals
15-20% Portfolio management and value creation
10-15% Impact measurement and analysis
Knowledge and Skills
- Undergraduate degree with a focus on business, economics, finance/accounting, or other relevant degree; MBA or other graduate degree a plus
- 24 years of relevant business experience, preferably in an investment banking or equivalent role at a global financial institution or comparable industry (e.g., management consulting with a relevant focus in due diligence and private equity work)
- Highly developed transaction execution skills (market and financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, preparing investment memoranda, closing and other supporting activities)
- Robust financial modeling capabilities, including financial projection models as well as other financial analyses; ability to build entire models as well as assess and adjust others' models
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage and deliver at the same time on multiple projects with varying levels of urgency, sensitivity and importance
- Prior experience with venture capital, growth equity, technology, and/or impact investing (including the measurement, analysis and reporting of impact) a plus
- Experienced and confident interacting at all levels, including with senior management
- Communicates effectively in writing and verbally
This position requires proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.
Compensation and Benefits:
$95, $176,400.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
