The HR Manager - N.A.

will champion the Innivec Colleges team and foster an inclusive culture in our 7 colleges across Canada, as well as our international recruitment team.

This is an exciting and fast-paced opportunity as we will be accelerating recruitment in 2023.

Day-to-day, this role will provide strategic support to Innivec and subsidiaries' functional leaders by identifying opportunities, bringing insight and solutions to support all team members.

The HR Manager is a highly visible role and will have a direct impact on the evolution of the company's culture.

Payroll is not part of the position


Required:


  • Professional certification (CHRP or other) or an advanced program in Human Resources is preferred
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Human Resources preferred
  • Experience in college environment is preferred
  • Ability to work in Canada
  • Must be experienced in GSuite products
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven HR leadership experience, including recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Excellent knowledge of British Columbia and Ontario employee standards
  • Solutions focused and creative mindset with a desire to build and improve on your talents
  • Current Criminal Background Check (required)

Duties:

As the
HR Manager - North America your will be responsible for:
overseeing __ for 90+ employees in growing Canadian company, and domestic and recruitment for Canada, US, UK workers.


1) Hiring of company personnel in Canada, for all Innivec contracted schools (currently as Eton College Canada, College Mentora College, Multihexa College (BC & Ontario), Q Academy, Taylor Pro College, and Extreme Professional Driver Training).

Other locations may be added.

2) Hiring of company executive and sales personnel for MSM organization as may be needed worldwide.

3) Developing contract terms for new hires and promotions

4) Hiring and salary negotiations

5) Developing training materials for new hires

6) Onboarding new staff

7) Ensuring regulatory compliance

8) Implementing organizational goal deployment with vision and values that lead to more employee engagement

9) Managing staff grievances, investigating escalated employee concerns and finding solutions

10) Conducting weekly meetings with respective business units

11) Managing internal communication projects (eg. job satisfaction surveys)

12) Analyzing trends and metrics to develop HR related solutions, programs and policies

13) Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)

14) Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increases productivity and retention

15) Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation

16) Lead HR projects such as compensation plan reviews/revisions, the implementation of performance evaluation systems and processes, research, advise and implement an HRMS system

17) Coordinate employee training and development initiatives (COVID/mental health - training programs)

18) Working with international HR teams and coordinating as and when required

19) Performing other related duties as assigned


Salary:
$80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
