1 on Position on Nights (Initial Training will be on Days 1-2 Weeks)
Onward Cluthe Hardware Products is a custom plastic injection moulding company located in Kitchener, Ontario. Founded in 1939 as Cluthe Manufacturing Company, we have continued to grow and expand our operation over the years. In the mid 1990's, we were acquired by Onward Manufacturing Company and moved locations from Waterloo to Kitchener.

General Function:

Reports directly to Shift Leader and /or material Leader of the department and responsible for achieving the required results as they pertain to the safety and productivity of the department.

Specific Duties (Material Handler): 15% of time driving Lift Truck

• Cleaning ovens
• Cleaning hopper/loader filter
• Cleaning dryer silos
• Removing and reinstalling hopper/loader
• Reading bill of materials
• Mixing materials (Plastic Resin)
• Assist with assembly of cartons
• Ensure all packaging required is at machines. Ex. layer cards, cartons, etc.
• Ensure full scrap bins are removed and empty scrap bins are put back into place.
• Ensure skids for product are at machines.
• Labelling of scrap bins, barrels, dryer silos, etc.
• Shrink wrapping of finished goods
• Removal of all materials, packaging and product at the end of a production run
• Transportation of finished goods and raw materials from production floor
• Ensuring materials are stored safely
• Cardboard and garbage collection
• Participate in development and maintenance of 6S and Kanban program
• Other duties as assigned by Shift Leader or Plant Manager
• POSITION REQUIREMENTS 2 or more years of experience of Material Handling at a plastic injection molding facility.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Participate in shift hand off meetings to ensure successful transfer of knowledge.
• Shift: Night Shift 1100pm to 7:30am

Experience:
