We currently have an opportunity for a
Meat Cutter
Employee in our Meat Cutting Department reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Position Summary:
As a Meat Cutter employee, you are responsible for production process relating to de-boning, cutting and trimming of pork and beef products in an accurate and timely manner, while meeting quality and customer requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Participation in equipment set up and change overs, ensuring quality standards and timely execution
- Operate boning knives, wizard knives, skinners, conveyors and other processing equipment and sharp objects used to prepare products
- Maintain pace on a fastpaced line, cutting meat accurately according to specifications
- Separate products and cuts into designated buggies and provide products for further stages of processing
- Comply with safety HACCP and SQF requirements.
- Work in a safe manner, following all safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- High Attention to detail
- Meat cutting experience
- Product and production process knowledge
- Able to assess products for adherence to quality measures
- Able to perform physical tasks that require frequent bending, twisting, lifting up to 27 kg, and standing for long periods of time
- Able to communicate and maintain relationships with coworkers
40 hours per week
