The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures.

The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.

The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health.

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate, fully licensed MRTs only can work this position. 1 years' recent experience in an acute care environment is required. Basic CT skills are required. Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills are required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Full scope of CT skills is preferred. 5 years of recent acute care experience is preferred.
