Accounts Payable Specialist:


Job location:
our office in Ottawa, Canada. We work in a hybrid model, therefor you will be expected to be in the office of 3 days per week


About the team:

Kinaxis is seeking an experienced Finance Professional to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist.


Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable & Expenses, the AP Specialist will work closely with other team members and will be responsible for performing the full cycle of Accounts Payable ensuring compliance with internal controls.


What you will do:


  • Process and enter vendor invoices in a multientity global environment ensuing internal control guidelines with regard to approvals and 3 way match
  • Maintain vendor records and updates in ERP system
  • Generates AP payments for global entities and responsible for global semimonthly payment runs and any ad hoc off schedule payments
  • Provide communication to vendors and internal stakeholders with respect to inquiries on invoices and payments
  • Compile month end AP accruals including Legal, Accounting, PO and invoice accruals
  • Assist in system implementations and other process improvements
  • Quarterly and Annual audit responsibilities

What we are looking for:


  • Postsecondary diploma in Accounting or similar, with a minimum of 23 years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience in a multientity global environment, high tech industry experience an asset.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills demonstrating keen attention to detail
  • Experience using ERP systems, NetSuite an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highvolume, everchanging environment.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
