Job Description:


The Manager, Registration and Records, is responsible for overseeing the registration of all post-secondary students including full-time and part-time students, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) students, off-shore campus, private partnership, employee registration and other off-audit registration and student record activity.

Registration is the contractual outcome of the enrolment process whereby the registrant is confirmed in course(s) of study for the purposes of course or program completion leading to College Credential; the Manager is accountable the integrity of the process and the protection of student records.

The incumbent is also accountable for the planning, delivery and ongoing review and improvement of processes related to these activities, ensuring that services are relevant to the needs of the students and the College and that they are delivered via the most current technology available to the College.


Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Systems and Operations, the Manager, Registration and Records works to ensure activity is aligned with strategic goals and the registration and records processes are optimized.

The incumbent works closely with Academic Chairs and Coordinators to ensure accurate and proper registration, to ensure maintenance of accurate student records, and the validation and declaration of graduates.

The manager is responsible for overseeing the graduation review for all post-secondary students in both full-time programs and part-time programs including the accurate printing and distribution of all college credentials and is responsible for ensuring final grades for students are accurate and recorded.


The Manager, Registration and Records provides support, guidance, problem-solving, analysis and assistance during the pre-registration, registration and post-registration periods, ensuring that all students are registered accurately and efficiently.

The incumbent staffs, manages and facilitates the efficient operation of registration and student records services for all academic activity.

In addition, the incumbent executes the refund exception, retroactive accommodation policy and process and ensures that student accounts are accurate for all registrations including managing sponsorships and contract activity.

The incumbent is also responsible for student communications related to fees and payment due dates.


The incumbent has budget accountability and develops and works with the team in order to ensure the smooth delivery of the Registrar's Office services.

The Manager is a member of the Registrar's Office leadership team and oversees the day-to-day operations and supervision of an enrolment team that provides high quality, professional and learner driven service.

Required Qualifications- A three (3) Year Diploma/Degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field;- Experience with the AC Way and Continuous Improvement; knowledge of Lean principles and practices / process analysis and redesign is an asset;- Leadership experience with proven success in fostering a collaborative, team-centered environment;- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian postsecondary system;- Experience with private partnerships is an asset;- Experience dealing with a diverse population of post-secondary students;- Experience using Salesforce is an asset;- Seven (7) years of related work experience with five (5) years of progressive responsibility including coordination or management experience;- Experience working in post-secondary educational environment;- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders;- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision;- Experience managing staff; demonstrated success in building and establishing teams.

Effectively leading a work team with sound decision-making, and people development skills;- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, to exercise discretion and good judgment in dealing with confidential and/or controversial matters;- Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and creatively in planning and developing a fresh approach to existing activities;- Self-starter with the ability to take a leadership role in assigned projects.
