Those in the accounting and finance field like cold, hard facts. So, we will be blunt, the FFUN Group is growing, and we're growing fast.

As part of that growth plan, we're looking to add a Controller who will act as a key business partner of the operations and be responsible for the full accounting cycle, lender management and data analysis.

This is no ordinary controller role. CreditMaxx is a high-growth consumer finance company based in Saskatoon. In operation for over 20 years, CreditMaxx has provided automotive financing to tens of thousands of customers.

If you're that ultra-cool, brainiac numbers person with a CPA designation, we want to meet you. Not in three weeks, NOW.

We're serious; we are on the hunt for someone who gets excited about getting deep in analytics and loves finding insights from data.

If you're still reading this, we guess that you love accounting, leading process innovation, financial analysis and reporting. If that's right, join the FFUN, because we love building careers jampacked with financial rewards.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive Hourly Rate based on experience.
  • Training & Development
  • How do you want to grow? The Creditmaxx leadership team has extensive experience in the consumer finance industry and love mentoring and growing the team.
  • Giving Back
  • From Hospital Foundations to local sports teams, we want everyone to have a little more FFUN in their lives.

What you would be doing:

  • Lead the CreditMaxx accounting department, meet monthend and yearend reporting timelines and lead annual financial planning for the business.
  • Manage securitization process, monitoring of securitization tranches, covenants and criteria.
  • Develop operational dashboards, KPIs and analytics to provide insight into the performance of the business and to identify areas of improvement.
  • Provide financial analysis, innovate and evolve financial reporting, and assist in portfolio data analytics to provide insight and value to support the growth of the business.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasts (short, medium and long term).
  • Calculate and run payroll for team.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and direction to accounting staff.

A great attitude will get you 90% there, for the rest, we're looking for:

  • 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience, Controller experience is preferred.
  • Must possess a CPA accounting designation.
  • Ability to maintain organization, multitask, and manage projects in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and growthfocused organization.
  • Detail oriented and committed to improvement.
  • Have excellent team building skills and form close working relationships with all team members.
  • Financial and accounting knowledge of the lending industry is an asset (but not necessary we have a great leadership team who love mentoring).
