Canerector is a group of over 50 companies that design and manufacture industrial products across a wide range of industries.
Overview:
The Property Manager will assist with managing third party tenant and owner-occupied properties scattered across Canada and USA.
We are a private company that owns close to 4 million square feet of industrial property at over 90 discrete sites.
Responsibilities:
Contract Review and comments:
Listing brokerage contracts, offers to lease, purchase and sale agreements, leases, lease extensions, binding agreements, vendors etc.
- Negotiate with prospective tenants and vendors and real estate brokers.
- Assist in determining corporate long term real estate strategies.
- Work with suppliers and tenants to rectify any lease issues.
- Assist with property assessments and appeals.
- Ensure lease maintenance best practices are being followed.
- Work with outside contractors to ensure timely and on time project management of R&M projects, leasehold improvements, and capital projects.
- Review current property management practices and provide regular feedback and ideas for improvement.
- Keep up to date with key real estate metrics (cap rates, $/sf lease, purchase, and new build rates) across Canada and US.
- Work with legal department to rectify lease violations.
Qualifications:
- University or college education preferred.
- Bilingual would be an asset.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial property management.
