RESEARCH ANALYST
Salary

Range - $67,760 - $84,701 per year

1.0 FTE Temporary (March March 2025)

1.0 FTE Temporary (March 2024 to August 31, 2024)

The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking

qualified applicants for the position of Research Analyst within the Research

and Decision Support Department to work at the Education Centre in Midhurst,

Ontario. Reporting to the Manager of Research and Decision support, the

support board and school improvement planning, board strategic directions,

provincial accountability requirements, and the development, evaluation and

modification of board programs and services. This position will be an integral part

of the research team to meet the goals of the Operational plan in support of

the SCDSB strategic priorities.

Qualifications, Pertinent


Skills and Experience:
A

university undergraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, or equivalent;

Experience

with qualitative and quantitative research methodology, analysis, and

reporting;

Three

(3) years related employment experience preferably within public sector

research and analytics;

Excellent

skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Power BI, SPSS

(syntax), survey development software, familiarity with GIS preferred;

Excellent

oral and written communication skills including creativity in presenting

findings;

Demonstrated

capacity to work collaboratively on a team, including with other departments;

Excellent

organizational and time management skills, including balancing multiple

priorities;

A commitment to life-long learning in field of

educational research;

Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic, evolving

environment and continuous changes in research and associated technology;

Ability to work

independently and as a team member;

Other duties as

assigned.


Preferred Skills:
Post-graduate

certification specializing in data management and analysis;

Advanced skills in

using Microsoft Power BI, SPSS (syntax), and one or more programming or coding

languages;

Expert presentation

skills with PowerPoint or innovative data visualization software.

Both positions are full-time temporary positions. The

regular work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The

compensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $67,760 to $84,501

per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based on

a thirty-five (35) hour work week.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is

mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
