Position Overview:
We are seeking an Apprentice Plumber who is eager to develop their skills in the water and waste industry.
This role offers extensive on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced journeymen, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and waste systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and repair of well pumps, including submersible pumps, jet pumps, and water treatment plants.
- Help with pipe and valve installations and repairs across various sites.
- Support the diagnosis of system issues like pressure loss and leaks.
- Participate in preventative and emergency maintenance operations.
- Learn and assist in mechanical and electrical system servicing and upgrades.
- Contribute to the team during emergency callouts and technical support operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies during project executions.
- Develop knowledge and skills in all aspects of water and wastewater system maintenance under professional guidance.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in or completion of a vocational training program in plumbing or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Good problemsolving skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Physical ability to handle manual work in various environments.
- Commitment to achieving a Journeyman Plumber certification.
